Interesting question...

Hi there, Russ Cargill here.

I did not blog here yesterday and i know that must be disapointing to my fan and indeed to Humanity in general!

Now the point I am trying to get across in my rather asine fashion is that blogging is... not consided to be the most vital method of communcation for most people indeed it is often mocked derisively across the board.
So why do we all do it?
The first thing to note is that the blogsphere is a way for everone to express themsleves freely not matter what their beliefs or opinions. In essence affirming the whole "internet is democracy" meme and allowing millions of people to spead hours debating, ridculing and otherwise keeping amused. Which can't be a bad thing.

All of which stating the obviousness brings me to my central permise namely is it worth it?
As we all things it depends on context after all, if the intent of your blog is to entertain then anything you write, post or youtube is vaild if only to you. On the other hand a blog designed specfically to inform or to present a particular viewpoint has to be able to present itself in a more virgous fashion in order to establish a niche and attract the punters.

Anyway that conclues my preliminary musings, more later.
Thoughs on the back of a comments box please.
